In forestry operations, the combination of steep terrain, soft ground, and high load requirements eliminates most conventional equipment. The 1TRACK 154 was tested extensively in timber operations — hauling logs on slopes that wheeled skidders can't safely work, without the ground disturbance of tracked equipment designed for far heavier loads.
Underground and surface mining sites share a set of access problems: restricted widths, explosive atmosphere concerns in some areas, maintenance access to points that heavy equipment can't reach. The 154's electric drivetrain addresses the atmosphere concern directly; the 23-inch minimum width fits corridors most equipment doesn't. The low ground pressure preserves haul roads that would otherwise require constant repair.
Remote mine sites and logging operations also benefit from the 154's logistics profile — no fuel supply chain required, minimal spare-parts inventory relative to combustion alternatives, and an operational temperature range of −50°C to +70°C that covers the full seasonal range of northern Canadian operations.
